Description
This is my 1989 560 SEC (Model C126) in Black, with Grey Leather Interior. It has the legendary Mercedes-Benz M117. 968 (5. 6L) V8 engine, producing around 295bhp/ 335lb-ft of torque.
First Registered 1 June 1989, I have owned it for just over 3 years. Current mileage is 137, 395miles.
It has been well looked after in my ownership, and historically, with a huge file of documentation dating back to the early 2000’s – all which has been scanned and saved onto a USB memory stick for the next owner.
In my ownership I have had a fantastic Mercedes Benz specialist, (found through the Mercedes Benz Owners Club), tasked with all the work/ maintenance during my ownership, which has included:
2026 The Gearbox Vacuum Control was replaced
2026 New Bosch battery fitted
2026 The ASR ECU, Potentiometer and Electronic Throttle Activator where removed and sent off for specialist recalibration
2025 Suspension – A spare set of rear SLS shocks were sourced from a club member which were sent to a Germany Specialist for refurbishment. These where then fitted to the vehicle and the old set then also set off to Germany to be refurbished, and are included in the sale of the vehicle.
2024 NSF Brake Calliper overhauled – specialist repair
2023 NSR Brake Calliper replaced, both rear discs and pads replaced, SLS pipes replaced with new copper throughout.
The previous owner (8years) had a lot of the common bodywork issues addressed:
• The rear screen was replaced with a new Mercedes-Benz screen and the surrounding steel was also replaced after discovering corrosion.
• The wheel arches have been repaired with steel, not filler.
• The engine bulk head has been repaired and a new battery box fitted.
• The sunroof wasn't working and was therefore removed and rebuilt with new parts and is now fit for purpose.
• The under car self levelling hydraulic bottles have been replaced, along with prop shaft coupling rubbers, engine mountings, oil cooler and associated oil pipe work.
• The exhaust attenuator has been replaced.
• The air conditioning has been serviced and pressure tested to 5 bar. System fitted with R134A gas.
Please get in touch if you would like to view the vehicle, or require any further information.
