BMW Z4 M Coupe in Black Sapphire with Imola Red seats. I bought the car in the spring as a recommissioning project as it had been pretty much moth balled for 10 years. It has done 107 k miles but the lion share of that mileage was done in its first 10 years which you can see from its MOT history.
First thing I did was a full Inspection II and a full fluid refresh by Walkers Autotech at Wissborough green, and it was given a clean bill of health, vanishing working as it should and the engine pulls like a train. New discs and pads all round and four new Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo’s all round and a deep clean inside and out and then just enjoyed if for the summer.
I also had an Alcantara steering wheel fitted , supplied by Royal Steering wheels and I also bought new steering wheel spokes from BMW which were eye wateringly expensive!
It drives superbly, if you’ve ever driven and E86 they are great fun and the M takes it up a notch further.
The car has a full service history but as explained had that gap in its use over the last few years. The paintwork is good, I’ve polished areas , claybared it and waxed it but if I was keeping it I would probably get it machine polished professionally. It has one touch up on the top of the OS wing shown in the photos and a couple of car park dings in the passenger door, difficult to capture in the photos.
It has lots of invoices showing work carried out over the years, however there is no record of rod bearings ever being replaced. So I’ve reflected this in the price.
It’s a fantastic sports car and get so much attention, I came out of a well sorted E46 M3 into this and as a drivers car it a much better experience, if you know these cars they are also quite rare with only 600 coupes imported to the UK.
