Description
For sale my MK2 Golf GTI, owned for the last 5 years, always garaged and barely used - check out the MOT history for the annual mileage, I do about 600 miles a year (lack of use my reason for selling)
So onto the details:
Engine and gearbox
1. 8 8v GTI
Pulls well, no noises, no smoke
Has trackslag stainless system from the downpipe back, quiet at low revs but sounds lovely on full throttle, OEM style slanty tips so doesn't look out of place
Induction kit with power rohr
Standard exhaust and airbox available should you prefer
Factory 5 speed box
Shifts as it should, no noise, no 2nd gear crunch, clutch good
Brakes and suspension
Standard GTI brakes fully renewed with new rear calipers, all operate as they should
Choice of 50 mile old Stance + adjustable coilovers
Or
500 mile old Bilstein gas shocks with Eibach -10mm springs (this is the setup in most of the pictures)
Standard springs available should you prefer
Wheels and tyres
Choice of BBS RZ (Corrado G60 wheels) 15" with Toyo Proxes, shot blasted and powder coated with new BBS badges, unmarked condition
Or
8x15 White Label TearD wheels with Nankang NS2, the wheels are tyres are no more than 50 miles old and in unmarked condition
Interior
Golf Rallye / G60 electric Recaro front seats in black leather lovely condition and electric adjustment smooth and strong
Black leather doorcards and matching rear bench
Golf Rallye / G60 leather steering wheel
VDO gauges (Oil pressure, oil temp, battery voltage) fitted properly with VDO senders
Genuine VW mats
VW Motorsport gearknob
New headlining
Audio

Bodywork
Mostly original paint, polishes up very well. Has had 2 x new sills in recent past. Few bubbles on scuttle not got any worse in 5 years.
Other bits
MOT July 27 / 2 keys / HPI clear / comes with a whole load of spares I have accumulated over the years including the parts listed in bold above. The private reg will be removed when a sale is agreed and I expect it will return to the original plate which is as shown in the pictures. Some pics show smoked rear lights - these have been removed and sold.
I have probably missed loads, but in summary its a nice solid MK2 in most desirable configuration (in my opinion!) being a 3 door late small bumper in a dark colour. My GTI has a few subtle mods / improvements but can be returned to standard in half a day with everything included in the sale.

I am looking for a modern-ish 2 seater convertible so may take one in part ex (Z4, MX5, TT, SLK, Boxster, you get the idea)
