Condition:
This is a very special car, it is not a restored car, it is more an amazing survivor. The car is very solid and in good condition inside and out albeit, with a few age related blemishes as you would expect for a 46 year old car . It has all of the original floors inc boot floor) and the chassis legs front to rear are original and solid . It has had 2 wings replaced at some point but every other panel looks original. The car is plastered in cavity wax which has helped to save the body shell through the years. It also has the standard RS Custom bronze tinted glass, centre console and clock and glove pocket, No sunroof
Mechanical:
The car has a 2. 1 “Vulcan Engineering” engine with a fast road cam and twin 45 webber side draught carburettors and a complete performance exhaust. It also has a close ratio synchromesh 5 speed gearbox (Type9), Rebuilt 3. 54:1 open Differential. Front and rear suspension is Bilstien and the ride height has been lowered by 1 inch. The car is sitting on Superlite 7x13 wheels and 185/ 60/ 13 tyres
Maintenance:
The car has recently had a full service plus new timing belt, idlers adjusters and water pump

You will struggle to find another one this original at the price I want for it, before you make me a silly offer just try to find another one! The reason I am advertising the car is that I want (not need) to reduce my RS2000 collection, If it doesn’t sell, it will stay in the heated garage for another winter . These cars are not only a good investment but great fun to own and drive, so this your chance to put a big smile on your face without the worry of depreciation in your ownership.
I purcahsed this car from a freind of mine. The attraction to me was the fact it is a true survivor saved by waxoil and careful owners. Survivors don't come along very often making this one a special car
