Fabulous older restoration approx 40 years ago but it looks as though it was 15 years ago
(Was concourse) which shows in the quality of work
Original transferable registration number and have great communication from the previous owners family which confirms work done. Also backed up by a great history file which documents all owners and millage
Have been told the running board rubber is the original
This car has clearly been loved which shows in how well she drives.
The body shows no signs of rust or rot including the chassis. The quality of work really shows thorough
The mechanicals are superb with no untoward noise. The car drives and performs A1 and in my short time of ownership have drive some distance
Tyres and wheels again match the rest of the car and the tyres look new as dose the spare.
Hydraulic brakes are responsive and pull the car up straight and true
Interior, seats / carpets / headlining and wood are lovely with minimal wearing and is a lovely place to be especially with the working sun roof open
All dials work as they should , fuel gauge is hit and miss but this is a common theme with pre war car.
The paint while very presentable and smart is 40 years old. The top of the bonnet has crazed. Bit this is all part of its story and patina
Not had her long but had the opportunity of another prewar car and having 10 cars something has to go
Perfect entry to prewar motoring and ready to use and enjoy
I brought the car from R S vintage sight unseen and wasn't disappointed
Having sold my Austin Ruby I brought the 8 very quickly and really took ti her beeing far more refined and spacious then the Austin.
I had the opportunity to purchase a 1930s Triumph Gloria which was just to good to pass and this means the 8 hasn't turned a wheel since.
