I no this is not the cheapest but it's just had a nice full bare metal paint job with hand painted gold pin stripes & and a full engine and service
This was in lovely condition when I bought it but it was clear it had been painted by an idiot in Brixham and who ever put the engine together should be shot, but trust me after another 7k and years of my life this is the result, amazing bike that's ready to ride
This rare 1966 Triumph 6T Thunderbird marks the final year of production for one of the most historically significant British parallel-twin motorcycles ever built. Originally introduced by Edward Turner in 1949 to capture the power-hungry US market, the Thunderbird evolved substantially by 1966. The final 1966 iteration stood out because Triumph dropped the heavy "bathtub" rear enclosure and oversized front mudguard, creating a leaner, sleeker silhouette, while retaining the brand’s iconic headlamp nacelle design
Due to its immense reliability, robust frame, and smooth torque curve, the 6T Thunderbird was heavily favored by British police forces. Many surviving 1966 models carry documentation showing they were originally dispatched straight from the factory to local constabularies, such as the Hertfordshire Police
