Lots of history included, covering routine maintenance, repairs & upgrades over the years . Current MOT to April 2027.
There is no history of VANOS, rod bearings or sub frame work being done. I have thoroughly inspected the subframe and cant see any plates welded in, but the the subframe does have yellow polybushes which would suggest it has seen some work in that area.
It hasn’t seen much use for the past ~6 years, but has been kept on the road with good MOT history. I would say though that it would benefit from a light recommissioning of NVH & suspension given its age, and a thorough servicing. Pads & discs all round are good having not long been done, the handbrake show assemblies & backing plates.
The body work is in line with a car of the age & mileage, with areas of chipping, lacquer peel & touch ins. As with most E46s of this vintage, there is bubbling on the wings & around the boot handle however they aren't perforated in any places.
The fabric roof is in excellent condition, I believe the car has spent most of its life with a hard top on it.
Wheels are CSL (reps I would assume), which have been refurbed in the recent history but have since been kerbed. The tyres are good but budgets that have been put on to pass an MOT.
The interior is in good condition for the age & mileage. There is a repair to the driver seat stitching, and a small tear in the base of the rear seat in the corner on the passenger side. Steering wheel & gear stick are in good condition and would take a recolouring to bring them back to factory look.
I bought the car at an auction during the summer on a bit of a whim, I had actually been looking for a V8 Vantage but this harked back to a similar spec 318ci I had as a youngster. I have reminisced with it for a couple of months, now its time to resume my search for a V8 Vantage!
