For sale is my 1996 Ford Escort 1. 8 CVH petrol, 5-speed manual, with just 29, 800 genuine miles from new.
The car was previously elderly owned and has been very well looked after throughout its life. It comes with a full service history, along with previous MOT records which back up the exceptionally low mileage. It’s not often you come across a nearly 30-year-old car with mileage this low, especially one with the paperwork to prove it.
The car has an NCT until June 2028 and is taxed until June 2027, so there’s nothing due in that regard for quite some time.
These older Escorts are becoming increasingly difficult to find in good condition, as many have either been scrapped, modified or simply worn out over the years. Finding one with under 30, 000 miles and a documented history is becoming rarer again.
It’s a lovely example of a 1990s Ford and would be ideal for someone looking for a modern classic to enjoy, take to shows or add to a collection. It’s also a great opportunity for someone who remembers these cars when they were a common sight on Irish and UK roads.
