Description
1971 Husqvarna 250 Cross For Sale
The bike is road registered and it now has its own UK logbook so the bike can be used for green laning. Bike comes included with a period pressed number plate.
Bike is untouched and in excellant original condition. Contains all the original features, still including its side stand and chain guard with the genuine red nyloc nuts and bolts to be seen throughout. Genuine Akront stickers still on the wheels, the original Bosch spark plug as spare, and beautifully worn in paint work.
The bike benefits from a new Magura 307 trap door throttle and new throttle cable. The forks work well but occasionally weep around the seals so might want a look at. Starts easy and runs well. Puffs a bit of smoke out now and then but what do you expect. I spent an entire day of constant riding on the green lanes, and not a single beat was missed. The gearing could be changed to improve road speeds. There is also a kill switch fitted.
I personally contacted the Husqvarna legend and “On Any Sunday” star Malcolm Smith before he sadly passed away in 2024. He very kindly took the time to sign one of the number boards, making this a very special bike. The bike is fitted with plain yellow number boards and the signed Malcolm Smith signed board is included as a spare. Also included for sale is various spares, carb and 3x green number boards.
A bike that runs this good, and is as well preserved as this, with Malcolm’s autograph, is very rare! This is reflected in the price. Sensible offers are welcome but you’ll struggle to find another time capsule like this.
Bike comes with a centre motocross style stand.
