Description
Offered for sale: my original 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Coupé, finished in classic red over a black partial leather interior.
This car currently has 195, 500 km on the odometer and has been cherished and maintained with the utmost care over the years. It is currently used purely for recreational purposes, classic car rallies, and events.
The 944 S2 is highly praised for its legendary transaxle layout (front engine, rear gearbox), which provides a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Combined with the powerful, naturally aspirated 3. 0-liter 16V four-cylinder engine (211 hp / 155 kW) and the 5-speed manual transmission, this Porsche delivers an unparalleled pure and balanced driving experience.
Key highlights of this specimen:
100% Rust-Free: The bodywork is completely solid and entirely free from the notorious 944 rust spots near the sills/ rocker panels.
Flawless Dashboard: The interior is in very beautiful condition; the dashboard is completely free from the infamous sun/ dryness cracks.
Comprehensive History: Extensive maintenance records, original booklets, and various invoices are present.
Fully Original: The car has been kept entirely in its original condition, with the sole exception of a modern radio.
Recent extensive major service:
To bring the car into absolute top mechanical condition, a very thorough major service was recently performed with no expense spared. The following items have been replaced:
New timing belt and balance shaft belt
New chain tensioner pads (guide rails) for the camshaft chain (critical for this 16V engine!)
New fuel pump and fuel lines
New spark plugs, air filter, and fuel filter
All fluids refreshed: Engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, and coolant
New battery and new wiper blades
Bodywork & Original Paint (Transparent and honest):
The car is still entirely in its original factory paint and has never been resprayed, which is a rare find for a 944. True to its age, the passage of time is visible on the flat surfaces (hood and roof) in the form of the well-known signs of aging in the clear coat.
Technical Condition & Driving Experience:
The Porsche starts, runs, and drives fantastic. The engine is responsive and eager, and the transaxle chassis feels tight and direct. A turn-key classic that is completely ready for the upcoming season.
