Unique Saab 99 Pickup
For sale is an absolutely unique and one-of-a-kind Saab 99 Pickup, supplied with German registration documents.
The vehicle can be legally registered either with standard registration plates or as a historic vehicle. All modifications and the conversion to pickup configuration are officially documented and approved in the vehicle registration papers.
The car was originally a 1973 Saab 99 Coupé, equipped with the revolutionary Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection system (110 HP). At the time, this was a technologically advanced system, in many ways conceptually ahead of the Bosch K-Jetronic system, which was gradually gaining popularity during that period.
The car comes with a complete history. The conversion was carried out in 1984 by the official Saab dealership in Braunschweig, Germany, where the vehicle subsequently served as a service vehicle.
I have owned the car for approximately 10 years. During this time, it has undergone partial bodywork restoration, with particular emphasis on preserving the original patina and character of this former working vehicle. The paint scheme is original from the time of the conversion.
The car is currently rust-free, and the entire underbody has been treated with protective coating.
Recent work and replacements include:
• New rear shock absorbers
• Refurbished brakes
• New clutch master cylinder
The car runs, drives, brakes and all lights work. However, it has been used very little and has not been regularly driven. The engine is somewhat difficult to start when cold, but runs without any problems once warmed up.
Additional modifications and equipment
The vehicle features a custom-made, all-stainless-steel fuel tank.
I have also expanded the storage capacity by making previously inaccessible spaces under the pickup bed and behind the rear seats accessible.
As part of this work, I modified the interior, including all upholstery, and installed folding seats from a 1976 model.
The headliner has also been newly upholstered.

The auxiliary fog lights mounted on the roof rack are currently not connected.
