Description
2010 Land Rover Defender 110 2. 4 TDCi Puma | Premium 'The Ply Guys' Off-Grid Camper
Description:
This Defender 110 features a premium, lightweight wooden conversion by the renowned Scottish builders 'The Ply Guys' (Sgeir layout), making it the perfect self-contained rig for the North Coast 500 or continental expeditions. Highly spec'd with top-tier off-grid electrical components, upgraded suspension, and extensive preventative maintenance. Ready to drive away tomorrow.
Bodywork & Condition
The bodywork is clean overall but does feature some minor, superficial surface scratches and age-related marks, as you would naturally expect from an authentic, adventure-ready Defender.
In the spirit of full transparency, there are two minor electrical quirks that were present when I bought the vehicle and remain untouched:
1. Radio Connection: The JVC head unit works perfectly, but occasionally cycles off and back on by itself.
2. Blower / Climate Control: Both the heater and the A/ C blow perfectly, but the fan speed only operates on setting 3 (the strongest setting).

I purchased this Defender in November last year and commissioned the professional conversion by 'The Ply Guys' in January this year, alongside adding the custom roof rack. The six off-road lights and the advanced off-grid electrical power station setup were all professionally installed and are in flawless working order.
To prove its capability, in July I took this rig on an epic, month-long expedition across Europe. I drove through northern France and Spain, crossed into Portugal via the challenging climbs of Serra da Estrela, and headed down to the spectacular Odeleite River (famously known as the Blue Dragon River). I then tracked back up through northern Portugal via Montalegre, journeyed right through central Spain, and crossed back into France through the rugged Pyrenees. From there, I traveled through central France up into Belgium, before finally returning to the UK via the Port of Calais.
Throughout this entire multi-country journey, the vehicle never missed a single beat. From day one, it has been a reliable 'turn-the-key and go' rig that took me everywhere I wanted to explore without a single issue.
