Description

One of the 1274 GTS versions produced One of the very last Dinos built Coveted Daytona seats Following in the footsteps of motoring legends is no easy task. But if anyone was up to the challenge, it was Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari. His father, the great Enzo Ferrari, had already cemented his legacy with monstrous V12 racing cars that dominated the 1950s and 1960s. The Ferrari name was synonymous with power, prestige and, let's be honest, a little arrogance.

But young Dino had a vision. A smaller engine, he thought, could be just as exciting as its fire-breathing V12 cousins. With unwavering passion (and probably a lot of heated discussion in Italy), he convinced his father to explore six-cylinder engines. It was a bold choice, but it paid off! The V6 roared to success in Formula 2, proving that sometimes, smaller really is better. And once the world saw what this little engine could do on the track, it was only a matter of time before it found its way into Ferrari's road cars.

That's how the first production Dino arrived: the breathtaking 206GT in 1969. Elegant, curvaceous and powered by a 2. 0-litre V6, it laid the foundations for the now legendary 246GT, ensuring that the Dino spirit would live on in every exhilarating drive.

A Dino like no other: the dazzling 246 GTS of 1974.

Let's talk about this Dino. This isn't just any 246 GTS: it's a rolling masterpiece, a machine with a soul and, quite frankly, one of the most beautiful examples you'll ever see.

Originally delivered in California in 1974, this beauty was offered in an ultra-rare colour combination: Bianco Polo Park with a red leather interior. Only four examples of this specification were built, making it rarer than a quiet Italian family dinner. This car spent its early years cruising California's most exhilarating mountain roads, with the V6 singing its inimitable melody as the lucky owner revelled in its perfect mid-engine balance.

Fast forward to today, and this Dino still shines like a jewel. Now dressed in the stunning Verde Pino Metallizzato, its dark green paintwork is rich, perfectly uniform and eye-catching from every angle. Step inside and you're greeted by beautifully aged beige Daytona seats that are as inviting as ever. It's the kind of interior that makes you want to cancel all your plans, grab your driving gloves and go.

And then there's the sound - oh, the sound! With six finely tuned Weber carburettors, this thing doesn't just purr, it screams. Throttle response is razor-sharp, delivering an intoxicating crescendo with every press of the pedal. Combine this with the iconic five-speed manual gearbox with its grid, offering that addictive 'click-click' precision, and you have an experience that rivals the greatest Ferraris of its era.

This car isn't just beautiful, it's mechanically perfect, finely tuned and ready to drive. No work needed, no excuses. Just start it up and let the adventure begin!

Become the owner of a piece of automotive history Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari's vision was not just to build another car, but to push the boundaries, embrace innovation and create something truly unforgettable. And that's exactly what this 246 GTS represents.

It's not just a car; it's a time machine, a statement, a piece of Ferrari history just waiting to be unleashed on the road. The only thing missing? A driver who understands what it really means to own something this special.

Are you ready to experience the magic? This Dino is waiting for you at Rock 'N Roll Classics; don't let this legend slip away!
