Description
This Lancia Stratos, a rare and iconic model, has remained in the same family for over 30 years. Delivered new in the Rome region to Patrizio Agostini with Roma registration number R70700, it was initially painted blue. In 1982, according to a document from the Automobile Club d'Italia, the car was exported from Italy. In 1987, it came into the hands of its current owner, an Italian sports car enthusiast. Marked by an encounter with a Stratos during a trip to Switzerland, he sought out and acquired the car from Lancia's French importer, André Charonnet. At the time, the car was already sporting a red paintwork finish and Group 4 wheels with widened wings. A mechanic by profession and a keen Ferrari Dino enthusiast, the owner maintained the car himself, subjecting it to 28 technical inspections since 1993. In 1989, the engine was restored, with the sodium valves replaced by solid valves, a typical modification on Dino engines. Now in attractive used condition, this Stratos is one of the last of these French cars to benefit from long ownership. A detailed photo file is available on request.
