I would like, with some reluctance, to part ways with my 1989 Austin Metro Red Hot, special edition. The car belonged to my grandfather and has therefore stayed in the family. 1. 3 Mini engine with about 89**** km. I have invested quite a bit in new parts, namely a new master cylinder, front brake calipers refurbished, front brake lines, engine radiator re-made, water pump, battery, auxiliary belt, hydragas spheres reconditioned by a specialist around €900, receipt available. Front and rear bumpers repainted, Minilight 12-inch wheels and tyres in good condition. Chassis healthy and in good condition, no perforating corrosion. Starts without problems and runs. A few bodywork defects but nothing major. Needs a good service though as the car has basically been parked in the garage since the last technical inspection.
Failed the MOT due to the front dampers… (see photo). I should point out that the repairs in the boot have been done (see photo). I have the workshop manual and spare parts, namely cabin radiator, bonnet, boot, doors, original wheel rim, grille, …
