Superb Series II Land Rover short-wheelbase, canvas-covered 1973.
Original colour Land Rover « Azul n°1 Toscan Blue » / colour code 614.
In excellent condition, no work required, ready to drive.
Exteriorly, apart from the hinges of the three doors, and the metal grille, this model is identical to the Series III. Inside, the superb all-metal dashboard.
Three front single seats and two rear benches facing each other. 7-seat registration.
Parabolic leaf springs lighter and more supple, and an interesting option: Overdrive, an additional lever that gives about 10–12 km/ h more in each gear. There are thus 4 short gears, 4 standard gears, and 4 intermediate or tall gears. The flat bonnet retains the original mounting to fit the spare wheel on it. Another interesting accessory: detachable freewheel hubs.
The vehicle has been completely dismantled to sand and repaint the chassis, as well as the aluminium body, repainted. Everything has been refreshed and worn parts replaced. New shock absorbers, new clutch, etc… Always kept dry and garaged. Since 1973 it has had only two owners. Diesel 2. 3L engine.
This Land Rover, on Spanish plates, is on site in Andalusia. I can arrange the transfer to French plates.
It is a very interesting model (the Series II is becoming rare), with practical options and accessories, a robust 4x4 that is very versatile.
No swaps or trade-ins.
