I’m parting company with this very endearing car; it was rebuilt to take on African rally stages but time, COVID, and the rest stopped me from finalising the project.
Three little bits left and it has been tested for 3, 000 km on a rally track in Spain
Model C5 from 1955 - commercial estate
5 seats, 5 doors, roof rack
Engine from a 403 revised
In good condition, kept under cover.
100, 000 km on the odometer, at least another 100, 000 km to go
Everything has been fully dismantled and checked, rebuilt or replaced or even modified
The wheels have been modified to accept reinforced tyres that can be glued on (the initiated will understand)
The underside is fully protected and armoured, fuel tank, gearbox, brakes, engine.
Shock absorbers in good condition
Warning lights and gauges have been added: pressure, temperatures, gauge, indicators, etc....
Car radio and USB ports
Rear bench and bespoke sprung base forming a bed
Paint to finish or not. It’s in primer, it’s nice, it’s matte, it depends on taste
Papers in order. Collector’s registration certificate
Could be put on a ramp to really check that it’s not a junker
It’s costing me over 8, 000 (euros) not counting time; I’d like to recover the outlay.
