Description
The 575M Maranello represents the apex of the Ferrari front-engine concept, in terms of technology and performance. Launched in 2002, it succeeds the 550, preserving its elegant restraint and balanced styling. The number 575 indicated the optimisation of its displacement, increasing from 5500 to 5750 cm3, resulting in a power and torque gain. The letter M stood for “Modified”, signifying a redesign of the chassis leading to overall performance optimisation. It was also the first time a gearshift of the F1 type was used to command a V12 Ferrari for road use.
The great success of the 550’s design remained untouched, apart from a few aesthetic modifications such as new air intakes on the front section, a new front splitter, the evolution of the headlight block design whose colour mirrors the bodywork, outlined in grey on the perimeter, xenon headlights and headlight washers. What isn’t immediately visible, however, is the substantial work carried out under the undertray, meticulously sculpted to generate ideal negative lift while reducing aerodynamic drag: the whole Formula 1 heritage that has always contributed to the marque’s aura.
This is precisely the model we are offering you today, in an elegant “nero Daytona” metallic finish with a matching black leather interior. The car was sold new in Japan on 14 July 2002 and then imported to France by the prestige vehicles subsidiary of the Jean Lain group in August 2016 to be sold in October 2016 to its owner.
This 575 presents in absolutely immaculate mechanical and cosmetic condition, as the photos testify. A full service with timing belt/ chain was carried out in 2024 at 18, 365 kilometres. In January 2026 we performed a complete reset to bring the car up to road-ready level: replacement of all 12 spark plugs and coil packs, replacement of air and cabin filters, replacement of stabiliser bar end links, replacement of the cabin heater pump and valve, replacement of the rear deck cover and bonnet stop…
Esthetically it has undergone a professional glaze polishing: no dings, scratches or impacts to note. The Pirelli P ZERO tyres have just been replaced and are brand new. The black leather interior presents as new, perfectly taut, with no signs of wear. The only aesthetic defect to note is a slight retreat of part of the dashboard top in leather. To perform this intervention, the original windscreen would need to be removed; we have decided to leave it as is.
We finally have the original leather folder with all user manuals and service record indicating its Japan delivery. It has never been stamped; the car has only covered 18, 500 km in 24 years. This explains its particularly attractive price given its nearly faultless condition. The car vertical and histovec reports show no negative points on our Ferrari.
Thus it is a genuine opportunity to acquire an exceptional and desirable V12 berlinetta, which we offer you. When you see the values its forebears command, it is certainly an excellent investment as well!
