Description
The 575M Maranello represents the apogee of the front‑engine Ferrari concept, in terms of technology and performance. Launched in 2002, it succeeds the 550, preserving its elegant restraint and balanced styling. The number 575 indicated the optimisation of its displacement, jumping from 5500 to 5750 cm3, resulting in a gain in power and torque. The letter M stood for 'Modified', signifying a redesign leading to an optimisation of overall performance. It was also the first time an F1‑type gearbox was used to drive a Ferrari V12 for road use.
The main design success of the 550 remained untouched, aside from a few aesthetic changes such as new front air intakes, a new front splitter, evolution of the headlamp block design with the colour matching the bodywork, outlined in grey around the edge, xenon headlamps and headlamp washers.
What isn’t visible, however, is the substantial work under the floorpan, meticulously sculpted to generate ideal negative lift while reducing aerodynamic drag: the entire Formula 1 heritage that has always contributed to the brand's aura.
This is indeed the model we are offering today, in an elegant 'Nero Daytona' metallic finish, with a matching black leather interior. The car was delivered new in Japan on 14 July 2002, then imported into France by the prestige vehicles division of the Jean Lain group in August 2016 to be sold in October 2016 to its owner.
This 575 presents in an absolutely impeccable mechanical and cosmetic condition as evidenced by the photos. A full service with belt replacement was carried out in 2024 at 18, 365 kilometres. In January 2026 we carried out a total refresh to ensure the car is road-ready: replacement of the 12 spark plugs and coils, replacement of air and cabin filters, replacement of stabiliser link rods, replacement of the heater pump and valve, replacement of rear deck lid seal and bonnet stop…
Aesthetically it has undergone a professional compound and polish: no dents, scratches or marks to note. The Pirelli P ZERO tyres have just been replaced and are brand new. The black interior leather is like new, perfectly taut, with no signs of wear. The only cosmetic defect is a small section of the top of the dashboard leather that has slightly retracted. It would be necessary to remove the windscreen (original) for this work; we have decided to leave it as is.
We finally have the original leather wallet with all the user manuals and service book indicating its delivery in Japan. It has never been stamped, the car having covered only 18, 500 km in 24 years.
This explains its particularly attractive price given its near faultless condition. The car history reports from CarVertical and Histovec show no negatives on our Ferrari.
Thus a genuine opportunity to acquire an exceptional and desirable V12‑powered Berlinetta that we are offering. When you see the values reached by its forebears, it is also surely an excellent investment!
