Billed as the largest event in Europe dedicated to motoring enthusiasts, the Auto e Moto d’Epoca, now into its 41st edition, will take over the Fiera exhibition centre in Bologna in Italy once more from the 24th to the 27th of October, having moved to this spectacular location last year, bringing culture, passion, technology and design together for an epic weekend of motoring heaven.

Just as Car & Classic is Europe’s largest online classic marketplace, the Auto e Moto d’Epoca is Europe’s largest physical classic market, with over 7,000 cars and motorbikes sprawled over a whopping 125,000 square metres, uniting top Italian and international dealers, all showcasing the history, the present and the future of the automotive world.

With a whole host of big names in attendance there’s sure to be a boat load of interesting vehicles to enjoy, not to mention Europe’s largest line-up of vintage spare parts – from mechanics to engine electronics and interior components, so if you’re looking for that elusive part to complete your build you may want to book your flight to Bologna.

Split into four paths, the Auto e Moto d’Epoca features something for everyone. The cars path is dedicated to classic car dealers, the motorbikes path is devoted to motorbikes of historical interest and their classic spare parts alongside the biggest motorcycle manufacturers, the spare parts path remains one of the most popular and prominent sectors of the event, and the World of Classics exhibition path is all about preserving the universal heritage of motoring via clubs and historic registers, manufacturers, bodies and associations, museums (including both Ferrari and Lamborghini) and collectors, all sharing a profound passion and desire for motoring culture and history.

Among the highlights will be the Registro Internazionale Touring Superleggera paying tribute to O.S.C.A. with an exhibition of rare models, a whole bunch of classic Lancias care of the Lancia Fulvia
Club, the Boxer Lancia Club and displays from FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) and The Marazzato Foundation, among others.

The Automobile Club d’Italia – created for the protection and enhancement of Italy’s vintage car heritage – will be transporting visitors back to the glamorous days of la dolce vita with its ‘Cars of the Sweet Life: A Journey Through Glamour and Memories’. More than just a show though, this promises to be an immersive and multi-sensory experience letting you feel the thrill of driving iconic cars and truly appreciate their legacy, bringing every detail to life using cutting edge tech.

Kicking things off though, and setting the tone for what promises to be an epic event, is the “125 Years of Fiat” exhibition, celebrating the Turin automaker’s 125th anniversary. Bologna will host a curated selection of Fiats that epitomise the history of this iconic Italian brand, telling the unique story of Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino. It’s a tale of not only the brand itself and of its racing heritage, but also a narrative of the mechanical and social innovations that have profoundly shaped Italy as a nation.

The Auto e Moto d’Epoca started 40 years ago as a classic car marketplace initially exclusively dedicated to collectors, but it later developed into an event encompassing the entire spectrum of the industry, from Formula 1 cars and rare vintage bikes, to celebrity vehicles and rare gems, and is now recognised as one of the most important events on the international scene.
