It turns out 2023 is a bit of a big one in terms of classic anniversaries. You already know we like to celebrate any momentous birthday here at Car & Classic and we’ve wished many happy returns to numerous manufacturers as well as individual machines over the years, from Cobra commemorations to 100 years of Bentley at Le Mans, but on the 3rd of September this year you can enjoy a whole host of celebratory shenanigans first hand with the Best of British festival at Turvey House in Bedfordshire.

What could be better than a summer’s day celebrating the best that British motoring has to offer? A day that is sure to deliver in terms of both quality and quantity. No EVs, no politics, just a focus on good old Blighty and the wonderful cars we’ve produced over the years. With top displays from the editors of Aston Martin Driver, Jaguar World, Classic Jaguar and Rolls-Royce and Bentley Driver magazines there should be something for every classic British motoring fan, from the fantastically fickle to the authentically ardent. That’s not to mention the range of products to browse in the retail village, myriad competitions and much, much more, all in the stunning grounds of Turvey House, a beautiful country mansion nestled amidst the picturesque Bedfordshire landscape. It’s the perfect backdrop for the bountiful booty of British brum brums on display.

Celebrating 100 years of iconic British brands Triumph and MG, there will be special exhibits curated to honour both of these historic automotive giants and their lasting legacies, giving you the opportunity to witness their evolution through captivating displays that pay homage to two of the biggest names in British motoring.
