It’s been a busy time, but then that’s what happens when you create something that works so well. Especially when it comes to our secure payment service. In a nutshell, it puts the money into a secure holding until the deal is finalised. This means no scams, no questionable bank transfers, no need to draw out stacks of cash. What are Verified Listings?
We know that selling a car can be a stressful time. Fake offers, a minefield of scams, it’s just a hassle. Life is busy, and selling your car should be a breeze, not a chore. That’s why we created Verified Listings. You list your car on Car & Classic, it then goes live via our new, improved ‘store front’ in which all of the information and images of your car are displayed in the best way possible. Interested parties can message you through the Car & Classic platform, meaning it’s easy for people to ask questions, should any additional information and answers about the car be needed. It’s very swish.
People can then buy the car for the agreed price, or make an offer on it. But don’t worry about being spammed with lowball offers – we’ll auto-reject anything that’s way off the mark. Once the offer is accepted, the money goes into a secure payment account. When you and the buyer meet up, and you’re both happy with the deal and the car, the money is released and you can hand over the keys. Or, if it goes the other way, the money goes right back to you. How much do Verified Listings cost?
It’s free to list your vehicle, then you’ll pay 5% of the sale price once your vehicle sells, or a minimum fee of £100, (€125 if you’re selling in Euros), whichever is the greatest. All UK fees are plus VAT. EU fees are not subject to VAT. And if it doesn’t sell, there is no fee at all. So that means no risk to you. For a platform and service so secure, this is a bargain.
