motodrome are pleased to offer this very smart left hand drive 1956 Triumph TR3,
finished in red with black hood and cream leather piped red.
This one was repatriated from the USA by the last owner in 2015, who then set about restoring it to a good standard.
Equipped with chrome wire wheels, overdrive, full tonneau cover, hood, and hood frame cover.
The restoration 2016-18 included, but wasn’t limited to
• Complete body removal and chassis sand blasted
• Replacement lower front wings, side panels, floor panels and boot floor
• Engine and gearbox both removed and rebuilt
• New clutch
• Brakes overhauled and relined
• New wire wheels and tyres
• New interior by John Skinner upholsterers.
• New hood, tonneau cover etc
We’re told it’s done little mileage since the restoration, and it has a current odometer reading of 89000 miles supported by a large sheaf of bills for the parts used in the restoration, plus some American paperwork.
It’s fully UK registered and ready to enjoy.
We have the sidescreen frames, but they haven’t been re-covered as part of the restoration as the previous owner never envisaged using them – he just used the tonneau.
It starts and drives really well, and is full of 1950’s style and character.
