Produced only from 1974-1977, the 911 S 2. 7 represented the middle model for the early G-Series second-generation 911s. Like all G-Series cars, the 911 S sported new impact-resistant bumpers and extensive updates to the car’s drivability and performance. With an extra 10-23hp (depending on model year), the 911 S offered a boost to performance over the standard car in addition to extra standard performance equipment such as a larger front spoiler, thicker anti-roll bars, and ventilated disc brakes.
Just as they were in-period, the 911 S offers incredible driving dynamics without compromising drivability. Enthusiasts and critics alike praise the 911 S for this and the simple fact they combine a fair amount of early-911 feel with later-911 comfort and equipment. As with all air-cooled 911s, these cars perform just as well as investments as they do on the street.
The fabulous 1976 Porsche 911 S 2. 7 Targa featured here is finished in classic Silver Metallic over a Black interior with a matching removable Targa top. This exquisite motorcar has been meticulously maintained to the highest standards, including a recent engine-out service and transmission rebuild. This investment-grade 911 S is among one of the nicest examples we've offered in years and will make a great addition to any premier collection. Offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the best!
