1974 Land Rover Series 3 88” 2. 25 petrol
A lovely restored Series 3 built up on a new galvanised chassis and bulkhead with a freshly rebuilt petrol engine and 4 speed syncro gearbox. Benefitting from an additional overdrive and free wheeling hubs add that extra bit of drivability.
Bodywork is straight and very tidy all round with a deep bronze green shine. Bonnet and rear qtr have had more recent paint with a very slight variation in shade but hardly noticeable. It is a really eye catching, presentable example and still looks restoration fresh.
This tidy bronze green Series that was restored just a few years ago and has just been subject to lots of recent work including a full mechanical check over including the following:
Rebuilt petrol engine including big end bearings, main bearings, timing chain, piston rings, hardened valve seats for unleaded, new alternator, new (electronic) distributor, new carb, new clutch, new water pump, all seals and gaskets, oil and filter, fuel pump.
Stripped and rebuilt full syncro gearbox including gaskets, seals. Handbrake shoes, speedo cable, fresh gearbox, transfer and overdrive oil.
Recently powder coated steel wheels in classic limestone with excellent 7. 50/ 18 Avon range master tyres all round including the spare. New Exmoor trim sand hood, front mats, stainless wipers and fully valeted/ detailed including the engine bay.
Everything has been assessed in preparation for sale ensuring a fun reliable rag top series 3 with great all round driavabilty.
