We are excited to offer this very tidy 1933 MG J2. Chassis No: 3126. Engine No: 1658AJ72.
Registered the 22/ 05/ 1933, and ne of only 2083 J2s produced, JB 2198 was purchased by its current vendor in 2021 from a family who had owned the car since 1965. The car was subject to an earlier, complete restoration that spanned from the 1980s to the 1990s, including taking the body off and a full engine rebuild. Currently the car remains in a very usable and pleasant, drivable condition, benefitting from the larger drum brakes, and the bodywork and paint are still in a tidy condition for its age.
The car has been serviced thoroughly during its current 4 year ownership, and carefully looked after. It comes with a handful of the original logbooks, documentation of the restoration and a current V5C. Included in the sale are also a number of spare parts including, the original drum brakes and cylinder head.
