Presented in its original and highly attractive colour scheme of Snowberry White over El Paso Beige, this exceptional example is likely one of the very best MKII Cooper S’ currently available. It was first registered on 1st June 1969 by Stringer Motors Limited in Bournemouth, Dorset, and is accompanied by a Heritage Certificate, confirming its specification and early history.
The Mini Cooper S needs little introduction as one of the most iconic and successful British performance cars of the 1960s. This MKII example has subject of a top-class restoration to an exceptional standard throughout, and now presents beautifully with a deep, lustrous finish in its factory colours, excellent panel gaps, and a beautifully preserved interior that captures the character and charm of the period. The underbody is beautifully painted in body colour, the engine bay equally as impressive.
Under the bonnet sits the legendary 1275cc A-Series engine mated to a four-speed manual gearbox, delivering the crisp performance and go-kart-like handling that made the Cooper S famous on both road and rally stages alike. This particular car combines outstanding presentation with authenticity and usability – a true collector’s example that would be equally at home in a private collection or enjoyed on the open road.
