1968 Wolseley `Hornet mk3 in lovely Glen Green with Spruce Green roof, as supplied when new and shown on the Heritage Certificate. The is a matching numbers Hornet and it was restored to its current condition in 2015 - 2016. During the restoration it had 2 new front wings, front panel, scuttle panel, inner and outer sills, floors to tunnel, rear boot floor and rear wheel arches. All of the panels were supplied by M-Machine who use the original presses to get an accurate fit. There are numerous other parts replaced and there is a thick history file showing the parts. The wiring loom was replaced, the cylinder head converted to run on unleaded fuel and the interior refurbished. The head lining and general quality of the trim is all very nice and clean. The Hornet drives well and is smooth and quiet. It is very happy around town and will keep up with modern traffic. On the open road it is comfortable cruising at around 55 mph. All of the electrics and gauges work well and even the eliminated Wolseley bonnet badge lights up which looks very cool! The wheels, tyres and brakes are all in good condition. The panel gaps and the quality of the paint is lovely and this car has won show awards by its last owner of 8 years.
