Peugeot 309 GTI MI16 Rare Non Sunroof.
Straight un crashed original solid shell never had any panels, etched glass with 1 key for all the locks.
I bought the car 4 years ago for a few bits of hard to find trim for my 309 but it was too good to break so I kept it garaged until I had the time to do something with it. I originally planned to build a 750 Saloon Race car based on my track car and I started buying bits to upgrade which are included in the sale.
The car was built in 1998 by a Garage Proprietor from Weston Super Mare who owned the car for 18 years to be a street car to out drag RS Turbos. There is a massive service history with all paperwork from the conversion documented even down having the part nos for the zx power steering set up which is usually a delete on 205/ 309 MI16 conversions. There is a rolling road print out from Inter Pro Bristol for 187 bhp when car was built (using a Citroen BX 16v 65k engine) which is sweet as a nut with no ticking from the head even on a cold start up. The engine pulls and sounds excellent with a level tick over no oil leaks or nasty noises.
The car has just been mechanically refurbished professionally over the last 3 months, work done is as follows.
New Alternator & Battery
New Rear Callipers/ Pads
Front Reconditioned/ Pads
Cam Belt and full service with plugs, leads, cap, rotor arm oil/ filter/ power/ brake fluid/ and fuel filter.
Spook Motorsport quick shift kit.
4 excellent Toyo Proxy Tyres.
Various bolts & pipes replaced basically gone through with a fine tooth combe and a new no advise MOT.
The car sits on Turbo Gas Suspension lower on front for street look with a scorpion exhaust all lines inside original seats, door cards, headlining, dash complete, no carpet and stripped in the back on a set of Phase 2 MI16 wheels. Everything works gauge wise including the clock and the interior heater blows red hot and quiet ! The bumpers are in great condition with 4 fog lights not wired yet but wires are there.
There are a few jobs need doing window channel drivers side is rotten doors rotten inside as is boot lid but all bits included.

Recon Brembo (as new never fitted)) 406 4 pot front brake callipers as new (fit straight on to struts with 306 GTI6 Discs which are £60 new) I have this set up on my track car and it gives you awesome braking power.

In summary this car is ready to use as is and with the bits included would make a serious track/ fast road car. All it needs is playing with all the bits are there. It was well built when the original conversion was done and has been given a new turn key lease of life ready for the new owner to use and improve how they wish.
The 309 GTI is the best handling hot hatch and rare especially being a non sunroof model I would love to keep it but I already have a 309 so it needs to go to someone who will take her further I just haven't got the time to give.
