The Appeal
Good 916 GTVs are getting very thin on the ground, which means we really welcome this car. It is a ‘Phase 2’ Lusso with the improved later interior and full leather trim. Plus, of course, the revvy Twin Spark engine, whose lighter weight means these 150bhp cars handle particularly well.
It is a really tidy car with only some minor cosmetic points to note in photos. It has been used for the Rust Bucket Rally, a name that doesn’t really do justice to this car’s quality.
The vendor acquired the car in early 2024 and has spent £4,000 on the mechanicals. Alongside two services, most recently in May 2025, the discs and pads have been replaced front and rear and a new exhaust system fitted. Even the a/c has been regassed.
The history file shows extensive work and records. There are typed notes put together by by a previous keeper and the stamped book shows full service history. The MOT runs to January 2026 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“Great little car really fun to drive.”
