The Appeal
Whether you’re here for the Daniel Craig Layer Cake vibes, or because you recognise one of the best uber saloons of the last 20 years, we’re with you. The original RS6 is brilliant, a planted, brutally quick four-door supercar all encased in Audi build quality.
Key to the C5 RS6’s is that, aside from a wider stance, it looks almost exactly like a standard A6. Case in point is this well-kept car, which adds further understatement with its handsome dark blue finish. It is a very tidy example of the rare saloon. Inside there is a linen leather cabin, trimmed in wood veneer, and benefitting from recent new headlining.
The important point with any high-performance purchase is maintenance, which is where this car scores. The extensive history file, shown in photos and summarised below, records 16 services and a remarkable four timing belt changes. The vendor tells us that £26,000 has been invested in the car in 10 years, that work including brake repairs, a Stage 1 remap - designed to further protect the gearbox - and a switch from the troublesome factory DRC suspension system to Bilstein coilovers
Within the last 5,000 miles there has been servicing, cambelt change, gearbox service and new brake discs and pads. It comes to market with an advisory-free MOT to May 2026.
