The Appeal
The Triumph Stag brought a bit of a revolution to the British Motor Industry. Intended as a continent-crossing tourer, the chaps at Trumph HQ recognised that the aesthetics needed to be top notch - so they turned to the legendary Michelotti, who created the remarkably handsome design we're looking at now. As you'd expect from his pen, it's a remarkably well-sorted blueprint that's charismatic to its core.
This 1974 Mark 2 example in striking Pimento Red is a fine ambassador. Having benefited from significant mechanical and cosmetic attention, this Stag really is a handsome car. There are few Leyland products more popular, and we've little doubt this fine example will get plenty of attention at auction.
