The Appeal
Perhaps it was The Professionals or maybe it was that nothing, and we mean nothing, quite delivered the same four-up, tail-sliding, big-bonneted fun, but Britain took the Capri to its hearts. Ford rewarded our loyalty with the brilliant 2.8 Injection.
Bolting the grunty V6 Cologne mill beneath that cavernous hood gave the Capri many more years of life. The later Specials got a limited slip differential. That did make them more surefooted, but not quite as much fun on roundabouts as this 1984 car.
It has the desirable 5spd box and is finished in the popular two-tone combo of Caspian Blue with Stratos Silver metallic. Inside there is a highly preserved grey velour Recaro-trimmed interior. Outside and inside everything points to the low mileage of 33,000 miles being correct, with documented evidence in the gallery to prove its accuracy.
