Built on 11th September 1970 and despatched to H. R. Owen Limited Aston Martin, this barn find DBS is an ideal candidate for someone wishing to enjoy an easy straightforward light restoration or perhaps more simply even just recommissioning of a nice, original, complete car.
Originally Burnt Almond with White Gold trim this desirable machine is a UK right-hand-drive home market example optioned with an automatic gearbox, air conditioning and Voxson stereo and 3. 54 axle ratio. The numberplate MRD 686J is believed to be the original.
Externally the car generally appears to be in very good shape with nice condition aluminium panelling. The paint is and older respray from the original colour but still has a little bit of shine and may machine polish up for someone just wishing to drive the car and enjoy its patina. Glass is good without cracks. Much of the brightwork is in good shape and appears to have been well protected over the years. The metal side trims have been popped off for transport and to allow for better inspection of the chassis.
Inside the interior is understood to be original and so the leather does have some aging and character marks but again is still a pleasant place to be in.
