The Appeal

It would be impossible to overstate the impact that the Austin 7 had on the development of the motor car. It was one of the first vehicles to use the now-standard accelerator, brake, clutch configuration; it was affordable, rugged, simple to fix, and highly capable. To this day, the 7 remains among the most usable pre-war cars money can buy.

This is the one you want: an early 'Chummy' open tourer. It's VSCC eligible, so it would be perfect for trials and driving test events. As the photographs show, the Austin is in exceedingly good condition, especially when one considers it's nearing its centenary.
