The Appeal

While later cars make perfect starter classics, the early Series MM cars tend to be the preserve of marque enthusiasts because they retain the ‘full Morris’ specification, notably the Morris side-valve motor rather than the later Austin unit.

This February 1953 Series MM is one of the very last of these cars to be built. Chassis records indicate that it was amongst the last 2,000 two-door MMs built. It is classically painted black with red coachlines, and a red vinyl interior which presents in good condition. The car retains many of its original MM features including wheel, dashboard, door trims and of course, that engine.

The car has been little-used since its last MOT pass in 2010 so may require some checks and recommissioning. This once-populous model is now extremely rare, and we look forward to seeing this one back on the road.
