The Appeal
The Austin-Healey "Frogeye" Sprite Mk1 is one of Britain's most beloved and characterful sports cars, with its distinctive headlights and nimble handling making it a true icon of 1950s motoring. This particular example is something truly special - a rare "Super Sprite", featuring the coveted Shorrock supercharger setup that Donald Healey himself used on the Sebring competition cars.
Following a meticulous four-year restoration completed in 2020, this Frogeye presents in very good condition throughout with just 200 miles covered since the work was completed. For the Austin-Healey enthusiast seeking something beyond the ordinary, this supercharged Sprite represents a rare opportunity to acquire a performance-enhanced example with genuine period competition components.
The vendor says:
"The car drives very well as you would expect. Very good oil pressure, Good gearbox, Eye catcher. Taking it to my local classic car show, always lots of interest and photos taken of my car. I’m cutting down on my collection now I’m in my 70s."

Seems like an over large gap at the lower edge of the bonnet (rear), could it be that it was not closed correctly during photography?
Bet••••
SellerI think it was closed when the photo was taken. There’s spacers under the bonnet hinges It probably needs adjusting or spacers removed. It’s something I can do. When I come back after this weekend away.

The supercharger is a Shorrock not Shurrock as stated.
