The Appeal
Here is the kind of car you want to find, a two-keeper classic that has been with its current keeper since 1983. It is an older restoration - including a new shell - that benefits from some choice mechanical upgrades of the sort Abingdon should really have fitted.
The engine was replaced in the 1990s with an upgraded 1,840cc fast road unit, including a 270 camshaft. It is mated to a 4spd box with the desirable optional factory overdrive. The car has been little used in recent years, so some general checks and perhaps servicing would be advisable, but is said to run and drive well.
Finished in Mineral Blue with black leather cabin, this is a really tidy upgraded B in great condition.
