1972 Morgan 4/4 1600

The Appeal

We love modern Morgans, which are as much collector design object as classic motor. This 4/4 comes from a simpler, more unassuming time and it is all the better for it.
Finished in beautiful Midnight Blue metallic following a restoration in 2006, its high standard of presentation owes much to a previous keeper who retained it for 41 years between 1977 and 2018. During his tenure and later it has been carefully uprated so that the standard 1600cc Kent Crossflow engine now runs at 117bhp thanks to a sports camshaft and uprated carburettors amongst other improvements.
Earlier this year it was fitted with a Gemmer steering rack, which significant improves the road feel and drivability.
This much-historied and very well maintained Morgan looks great and drives just as well. A proper treat for fans of these distinctive British roadsters.
The vendor says:
“This is a fine example of a classic Morgan, it drives extremely well, keeping pace with modern traffic. It comes with the old V5, current V5C, original owner’s manual and an extensive history file.”
