The Appeal
The GT6 Mk3 was the final and most refined evolution of Triumph's compact six-cylinder fastback coupé. With its smooth 2.0-litre inline-six, revised rear suspension, and elegant styling, the Mk3 is widely considered the most accomplished of the GT6 line: a genuine grand tourer in miniature - a bite-size E-Type.
Since acquiring the car in 2022, the current owner has carried out extensive mechanical work encompassing new brakes all round, new carburettors, a new differential, new universal joints, and replacement of all engine hoses, plugs, and leads among numerous other items.
The vendor states the engine runs well and the car drives very nicely. The bodywork is described as generally very clean with only minor blemishes befitting its age, while the underside is reported to be clean and free from signs of previous repair. Inside, all seat foams have been replaced and a wooden steering wheel fitted, resulting in what the vendor describes as a very clean and tidy cabin.
Having always been dry-stored and never driven in the rain during current ownership, this GT6 Mk3 appears particularly well cared for.IMG_0914 Peter Clarke.jpeg3.23 MB
