The Appeal
If you want a truly fascinating car, you'll find little more engaging than Citroën's quirky, tech-packed executive car. From their space-age styling to its remarkable swathe of hydraulic systems, these have become the stuff of legend, and rightfully so. A deeply complex bit of development that was well ahead of its time.
It's a DS like this that captures the top of the iconic innovator's range, with the largest 2.3-litre engine and luxurious Pallas trim. This particular 1975 example has been in the same ownership since 1992, resulting in a well-documented history spanning over three decades. Having been stored in a garage for the past ten years, it has recently been recommissioned by a local classic car specialist who has successfully returned it to running condition.
This DS23 retains its original character and innovative hydraulic systems, which are all reported to be operational. While it would benefit from some cosmetic attention, it's a mechanically sound example of one of the most revolutionary and distinctive cars ever produced that's well worthy of the investment.
Replacement of many suspension, brakes, and engine parts already undertaken
All hydraulic systems are reportedly operational
Suspension spheres need replacing as the ride is currently "very choppy"
Other than this the vendor reports that the engine runs "Adequately"
