The Appeal

The Saviem SG2 is one of the most characterful French commercial vehicles of the 1970s. Robust, charismatic and increasingly sought-after, these vans have found a second life as food trucks, mobile bars and event vehicles, their honest proportions and unmistakable presence making them naturally suited to this role.

This 1979 example has undergone a complete three-year restoration by its current owner, who acquired it from a second owner who used it primarily for storage. The bodywork was stripped and repaired before being repainted, and the cab was renovated with the aim of returning it to near-original appearance. The rear has been fully fitted out for professional catering use, with a complete commercial-grade kitchen installation. The roof was raised to allow comfortable circulation at the rear.
