The Appeal

The Mk1 VW Scirocco Storm was a highly exclusive, UK-only limited edition of Volkswagen's Giugiaro-designed, Karmann-built coupé. With approximately 2,000 examples produced across two batches in 1979, it married the 110 bhp fuel-injected 1.6-litre engine of the GLi with a full leather interior, Recaro front seats, a Zender front chin spoiler, and alloy wheels, making it the most desirable specification of the Mk1 Scirocco. Surviving examples are increasingly rare and keenly sought by Volkswagen enthusiasts.

This example has been in the current owner's care for 15 years, during which time it has been barn-stored and brought out only for special occasions. Described as being in original condition, the tan leather interior is reported to be in good condition for its age, and the car is accompanied by a V5C, owner's manuals, service book, and various invoices. The vendor describes the car as in great condition with only general age-related wear and tear and says it is an amazing, fun drive.
