Left-hand drive and French registration on Collection logbook
The Appeal
The Dax Cobra 427 is a replica of the AC Cobra, adopting its characteristic silhouette whilst featuring a 3.5-litre Rover V8 engine. This left-hand drive example, first registered in France in July 1984, is presented in blue livery with silver stripe and roll bar.
Beneath the fibreglass bodywork sits a 3.5-litre Rover V8 equipped with a four-barrel Holley carburettor mounted on an Edelbrock intake manifold. The engine features Cobra rocker covers and a chromed Edelbrock air filter, whilst side-exit exhausts complete the setup. The interior combines grey leather trim with blue stitching, a three-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel with wooden rim, Securon harnesses, rally-style auxiliary instruments and an aluminium dashboard.
A major mechanical overhaul was carried out in January 2023. The engine was notably removed and reinstalled with new fixings. The steering mechanism, water pump, ignition coil and battery were also replaced, along with several gaskets. A professional inspection carried out in July 2026 rated the car at 8.5/10 and assessed the bodywork, chassis and main mechanical components. The seller indicates that the car runs and drives correctly.IMG_3966 2.jpeg4.61 MB
