The Appeal
While Porsche introduced a full cabriolet 911 for the 1983 model year, it persisted with the popular Targa model, offering a neat compromise between the open-air thrills of a full convertible and the rigidity of a coupé. Targas remain one of the most sought-after classic 911s, especially the Carrera 3.2 from the early 1980s. The 915 five-speed manual gearbox offers a mechanical purity that continues to captivate enthusiasts worldwide.
This 1985 example in Seal Grey with a burgundy and light grey interior is a handsome specification, and one that has clearly been cared for throughout its life. The history file is extensive, documenting the car from its very first service at just 66 miles right through to recent specialist attention. The car has benefited from considerable mechanical and cosmetic investment over the years, much of it carried out by respected Porsche specialists. The vendor states the car is in very good condition, and the level of documented investment over the years lends considerable weight to that assessment.APB01048.webp197.56 KB
