Highlights

The Appeal
The original ‘Ur’ Quattro put Audi on the gravel path to glory, but it was the second generation B3 Quattro that perfected the package. The new car was more reliable, far more usable and offered more consistent engineering. Those changes revolved around the durable galvanised body, automatic Torsen centre differential, more linear turbo delivery and much improved interior.
While values of the original continue to understandably soar, canny buyers who want to use and enjoy their Quattro coupes are gravitating to the later, previously overshadowed B3. Here is a chance to discover why with a very handsome and well presented example. It is the B3 to have because it is equipped with the warbly 5cyl 20V 2.3L 7A 170bhp engine that fuelled the development of the final 20V ur Quattros. It is painted in stand-out Tornado Red with a well-kept grey velour cabin, all offset with a fabulous set of 18in polished BBS split rim alloys.
The vendor acquired the car in 2013 and tells us that she has continued to maintain it well. A new timing belt, oil seals and radiator were fitted in 2015. The history file shows a well-stocked service book with attention from main dealers and marque specialists. The current MOT runs to May 2027 with no advisories.
With its roots in one of the greatest rally-to-road cars of the last 40 years, this hugely capable and well-kept Quattro will appeal to drivers.
