The Appeal

The Ducati 900 Superlight is one of the most coveted air-cooled Ducatis of the 1990s. It offered a true point-and-shoot performer, lightweight and agile with plenty of character. It's little wonder they've long been prized by collectors and enthusiasts ever since their introduction in 1992. The Superlight IV was one of the most refined - of this much-loved lineage and now garners plenty of well-deserved attention from enthusiasts.

This 1996 example has covered just 14,955 miles and spent almost 20 years off the road before being comprehensively stripped and refinished in 2024. The cosmetic rebuild saw the wheels and frame powder-coated in anthracite grey, while mechanical attention included new oil, belts, a fuel filter, and a carburettor clean.

Tasteful upgrades include later 748/916 front forks enabling the fitment of new, larger Brembo front callipers, along with 900SS ie handlebars, though the original top yoke with its number plaque and the fully floating Brembo cast iron discs have been retained.

It comes accompanied by its V5, original owner's manual, and service book with history from the 1990s.
