The Appeal
The Citroën Xantia V6 Activa took Citroën's hydropneumatic engineering into a new generation of 'magic carpet' cars and proved a remarkable leap in innovation for the forward-facing marque. Combining the silky 3.0-litre ES9 V6 with the SCAR active anti-roll system and a 5-speed manual gearbox, the Activa took it one step beyond, and delivered a driving experience unlike anything else in the mid-1990s saloon car market - cornering virtually flat while riding with the suppleness that Citroën's hydropneumatic cars have become the stuff of legend for.
This 1997 example has benefited from over €3,500 of maintenance work between 2020 and 2026, most notably a preventive hydraulic system overhaul in February 2026. The cooling system was overhauled in late 2024, while ignition coils and spark plugs were renewed in early 2023. Now seeking a new owner, this Activa is a road-ready, usable example of one of the most technologically ambitious saloons of its era.image.png1.43 MB
