The Appeal

Triumph’s Bonneville is such an intrinsic part of British culture that it was no surprise when the Hinckley firm announced a special edition bike to mark 50 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. These bikes are now very collectable and easily spotted by their appropriate silver, blue and red colour schemes and Union Jack decals. As the first Hinckley-built Bonnie and the last to be classically fed by carburettors, they are a fitting base for celebration.

Around 800 Jubilees were supplied as a dealer-assembled kit for 2002 and 2003. Featuring the optional ‘flyscreen’ fairing, this very low mileage Jubilee would have been one of the first registered and has had just five keepers since, the current one since 2015. The 3,827 miles on the odometer is supported by service history. It has been SORN’d and dry-stored since 2019, shortly after its last service and MOT.

The condition is impressive, the distinctive paint scheme in good order, and the chromework remaining bright. With its links to British history and those original carburettor Bonnies, this bike would be an eye-catching and evocative addition to any collection.

Apparently it was an EU bidder who ghosted the sales team and blocked his card after the auction had finished, so Car and Classic had no way of contacting him they have since blocked him on the auction site. Many thanks Steve
