The Appeal
The X350 looks familiar to traditionalists, but those classic looks disguise what was a wholly new approach to the XJ saloon when it arrived in late 2002. Corrosion-resistant aluminium construction means it is not just 170kg lighter than the outgoing X308, but considerably more durable too.
The extremely rare Jaguar Super V8 and its Daimler-badged cousin are ‘peak’ X350. Borrowing the 400bhp 4.2L AJ-V8 supercharged engine from the XJR, combined with maximum factory specification, they are both super saloon and luxury limousine. As the photos of this car show, the factory lavished it with options including rear entertainment, in-car corded telephone, mesh grille, chrome door mirrors, and window blinds. Just 1,248 SWB Jaguar-branded examples were built worldwide, making them as rare as they are desirable.
As this 2003 grey metallic Super V8 shows, these cars are the definition of modern sleeper saloon. This car is described by the seller as being in very good condition while the history file shows regular attention in recent years, including two new tyres. The current MOT runs to June 2027 with no advisories.
